In praise of shadows and materials 2011

This project was a collaboration between RISD Museum's Costume and Textile Collection and RISD Textile department. The Museum Selected a group of textile objects from their collection, and the textile students were asked to use those objects as inspiration for their work.

At the end of the project, RISD Museum selected student's work to curate a show, Designig in Tradition, which was held at the Asian Textile Gallery at RISD Museum.

I chose a Samoan Tapa Cloth and created a collection of surface design and a Jacquard woven cloth.
