Countryside Japan

The Kimono is a platform for the landscape of my country

In the countryside japan, wild plants powerfully inhabit concrete roads, keeping the landscape vibrant and alive. Along the roads, the huts are deteriorating. Pieces of wood, tin plates, tarps, nails, and anything at hand are used for constructing these village huts. Unconsciously, the people create beautiful collages on top of these huts. For them, adapting the nature and using the materials to thier maximum potential are so embedded in their sensibility. My process becomes manipulated and altered through my observations of the delicate interactions that occur between nature and manmade objects within the countryside.
